In honour of Plastic-Free July, I decided to ask the queen of Plastic-Free herself… Er. Head Mermaid? I don’t think they use titles under the sea.
Regardless, Kate Nelson has been avoiding single-use plastics for a decade, and has gone completely plastic-free two years ago. Her blog, iquitplastics, and Instagram, @plasticfreemermaid, chronicle her plastic-free living in Byron Bay, Australia.
Kate kindly agreed to be on the latest episode of Travel Talk, and we talked all things plastic-free travel, including how to prepare for a long-haul flights, plastic-free road trips, and why travellers should even care about their impact on the environment!
